It’s your Decision:
A Message from Planned Parenthood

Your vote is your decision – and yours alone. Many of you trust Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California (PPAC) health centers to be there for you – whether you need reproductive services, cancer screenings or just help in talking with your teenager.

Here’s how PPAC sees the choice for US Senate.

Barbara Boxer

Only one candidate: Barbara Boxer has been a consistent voice for women and their right to choose. She has spent her entire career fighting for health access for all women, regardless of their ability to pay. And she’s been a tireless supporter of Roe v. Wade.

Carly Fiorina

Carly Fiorina is endorsed by Sarah Palin. They both want to overturn Roe v. Wade* and make criminals out of women who have abortions, and the doctors who perform them.

We know you have a lot of other things to consider this November – but for Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California, health care for women is critical.

PPAC chooses Barbara Boxer over Carly Fiorina. We believe this is a matter of choice… and the choice is clear.

Here’s how PPAC sees the choice for Governor:

Jerry Brown

Jerry Brown helped start our state’s family planning services, including life saving breast and cervical cancer screenings, SDT tests and reproductive health services. These programs helped reduce teen pregnancy to some of the lowest in that nation.

Jerry Brown has always been there for the women of California. After carefully researching and analyzing his positions on reproductive health  issues, Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California has decided to support Jerry Brown’s candidacy for governor of California.

Meg Whitman

After carefully researching and analyzing her positions on these issues, PPAC must oppose Meg Whitman’s candidacy for governor of California. Although Ms. Whitman has said that she supports a woman’s right to abortion, her support is limited and does not include continued funding for reproductive health services.

In tough economic times, California simply can’t afford to backtrack on cost-effective reproductive health programs.
